Why shouldn’t it be fun and easy to realise your dream of being a published author? It can be.
My Story
On 11/11/11 I released 6 books simultaenously which I wrote and independently published during the previous 6 months. (I had co-authors for two of them.)

Here are some comments from writers I’ve helped get their book out of the someday box. Imagine how you’ll feel when you do.
“I Always Wanted to Write a Book”
When I met Tom Berarducci, he just talked like an author. Here’s what he says about creating his book “What Not To Do”

I engaged Joel’s coaching services after leaving a 27-year career as an executive at Kodak. I was pretty disoriented and not sure what I wanted to do next. Joel immediately picked up on my years of experience with corporate America, and my strong opinions about how things could be improved. In the back of my mind, I always wanted to write a book; Joel was able to somehow tap into this latent desire and provide me with the tools to turn it into a reality.
I had the data, the experience, and the skill to write a book. But that’s not enough. You need a system, and someone to guide you through it. Joel provided me with this guidance, and made the entire experience a blast in the process.
I always knew I could write a book, but without Joel’s help, I probably would never have done it.

What Not to Do in Business
“Joel Showed Me How Simply it Could Be Done”
Books can be serious business, or they can just be good fun. Kari Hagensmith mentioned a dream she’d had about writing a fun book about a sensitive subject.
I had this idea for a book rattling around in my head for 3 or 4 years. Talked about it but didn’t know how to do anything about it. Write a book? Publish? They were questions I didn’t know how to answer.
Then I met Joel D Canfield with Someday Box.
Knowing someone else who had accomplished what I only thought about was just the start of his encouragement. When I finally decided to write the book Joel showed me how simply it could be done. With his coaching I put one foot in front of the other and took the steps to getting it done. My book was finished in 6 weeks!
I have enjoyed the acknowledgment that being an author brings. As a speaker and coach I find that being an author changes the conversation with both clients and those who book speakers. I love sharing my books with others and am having fun with interviews and book signings.

“There is No Doubt in My Mind I Will Entrust Joel with My Next Writing Project”
When I met Jessi at one of my events I had no idea that this sweet girl was going to write the scariest book I’ve worked on.

Jessi Lohman
Joel was consistent, reliable, understanding, pleasant and had genuine passion for my project. The experience of sharing the excitement of my project made our work together exponentially better. There is no doubt in my mind I will entrust Joel with my next writing project. I am grateful to work with such a wonderful publishing partner.

“I Wouldn’t Have Gotten That from Someone Else”
I’d known Terry for some time before I discovered that he wanted to write children’s books. As he says “My daughters loved reading in spite of me; now I want kids to love reading because of me.”
Being able to talk with you about the business aspects of being an author is so helpful. Learning to do marketing the right way, avoiding the common mistakes—I wouldn’t have gotten that from someone else. Having access to someone who knows both sides, the writing and the business, makes a big difference.
